Ashtae
Creative, versatile, and passionate about her craft, Tara has established herself as an international hairstylist, educator, and beauty consultant with over 20 years of experience. Tara, who grew up in The Bahamas, infuses her art with island influence. She has worked on countless editorial shoots for major publications, including Ellements Magazine and Islands of The Bahamas Magazine, and has collaborated with top industry trailblazers like fashion designer David Rolle, Lyndah Wells, and photographer Stanley Babb. Tara continues to style high-profile clientele, including Actress Kenya Moore, Entertainer Machel Montano, Claire Sulmer (Fashion Bomb Daily), Shauntae Miller (Miss Bahamas 2020), Supermodel Shanae Strachan, and Lisa Nichols (Author).
Her work is featured in international brands' campaigns like Bahamar and Islands of the World Fashion Week. As a passionate Ashtae Certified Educator, Tara has taught hair care methods for natural and loc maintenance techniques at Bronner Brothers International Hair Show in Atlanta, GA, the Ashtae Beyond the Chair Conference in North Carolina, and Premiere Orlando. With a humanitarian heart, Tara and her beauty team have lent their time and talents to Doris Johnson’s Cosmetology Curriculum, Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute (BTVI), and The Children’s Emergency Hostel, assisting countless young ladies participating in beauty pageants while promoting charitable causes like HIV/AIDS and Domestic Violence Awareness.
Tara is the sole proprietor of Metamorphosis Beauty Salon, which opened since 2010, located in Nassau, Bahamas. She has transformed bridal hair design as the lead stylist at Morphed Brides. Tara attended Dudley’s Cosmetology University, BTVI, and Ashtae Advanced Training Institute, dedicating over 17 years to promoting healthy hair in The Bahamas.
